Child Care First Aid CPR Re-Certification
This 1 day course will allow the participant to re-certify their existing Canadian Red Cross Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR certification. It will re-cover everything they are required to know to deal with an Emergency & Crisis situation when acting as a caregiver for children. Child Care First Aid provides knowledge and skill on providing care to a multitude of common injuries and illnesses.
Canadian Red Cross Child Care First Aid, with CPR level B & AED training is acknowledged and approved by the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada.
Course content includes:
- The Red Cross
- Preparing for Emergencies
- The role of a First Aider
- EMS / 9-1-1
- Life Threatening Bleeding
- Heart Attacks and Strokes
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
- Soft Tissue Injuries
- Bone, Muscle and Joint Injuries
- Heat Stroke
- Mental Health Crisis
- Childhood Illnesses
- Caring for Children

Classes begin at 8:30 AM. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early for registration.
