Blended CPR Re-Certification

This combination of online and in-class re-certification course will provide the participant everything they are required to complete in order to re-certify their existing certification.  Know how to deal with an Emergency & Crisis situation, provide knowledge and skill on providing care to common injuries and illnesses as a lay care provider and get updates to new protocols to providing first aid care.

Blended first aid and CPR courses are a unique way of allowing participants to learn the theory portions of first aid in the safety and comfort of their home or office using a computer and proprietary Canadian Red Cross learning videos and slides, which aids in reducing interactions and potential exposure to COVID-19.  The participants are then only required to attend a half day in class training where they practice and demonstrate the hands on skills and complete the required written knowledge evaluation.

Course content includes:

• The Red Cross
• Preparing for Emergencies
• The role of a First Aider
• EMS / 9-1-1
• Choking
• Life Threatening Bleeding
• Heart Attacks and Strokes
• CPR
• AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

Classes begin at 9:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early for registration.

All Participants must SEND proof of current and valid certification through a recognized Canadian body (Canadian Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance, Heart & Stroke) prior to the course date.
