Standard First Aid CPR Re-Certification

This 1 day course will provide the participant everything they are required to complete in order to re-certify their existing certification.  Know how to deal with an Emergency & Crisis situation, provide knowledge and skill on providing care to common injuries and illnesses as a lay care provider and get updates to new protocols to providing first aid care.

Canadian Red Cross First Aid, with CPR & AED training is acknowledged and approved by the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada OH&S, and COR (Certificate of Recognition) Programs

Course content includes:

• The Red Cross
• Preparing for Emergencies
• The role of a First Aider
• EMS / 9-1-1
• Choking
• Life Threatening Bleeding
• Heart Attacks and Strokes
• CPR
• AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
• Soft Tissue Injuries
• Anaphylaxis

Classes begin at 8:30 AM. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early for registration.

All Participants must be able to provide proof of current and valid certification through a recognized Canadian body (Canadian Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance, Heart & Stroke)
